Innovation Award & Leading Talent

Chayma has been involved in environmental causes since she was a little girl, having witnessed the dramatic repercussions caused by marine erosion on large parts of the coastline of her home country, Tunisia. Since 2018, she has been the driving force behind the design and development of a leading climate risk valuation tool, allowing to assess both technical and financial impacts of climate change on real estate value. She has already conducted projects on multi billion euros portfolios on behalf of major investors, landlords and consulting firms.

In 2022, she won Cushman & Wakfield's innovation award, as she made a significant contribution to the development of the first independent real estate ESG scorecard in France. In 2023 she was selected as an ambassador and a leading talent.

SIMI - Real Estate Industry Award

As part of the Grand Prizes ceremony at the SIMI trade fair held on December 7 at the Palais des Congrès de la Porte Maillot in Paris, the 2018 Junior Prize for the real estate industry was awarded to Chayma Oueslati, student of the Master MUI (Urban and real estate management) from ESSEC Business School, for his final thesis on Real estate facing climate risk: market dynamics and real estate evaluation tools. The “Junior Prize for the Real Estate Industry” competition rewards the work of a student based on their higher education end-of-cycle thesis which takes a different, prospective and innovative look at the real estate industry and construction of the City.

CILAC - Young Researcher Award

Established in 2011, the Young Researcher Prize in Industrial, Scientific and Technical Heritage encourages research, promotion and the taking of innovative initiatives in the field of tangible and intangible industrial heritage. Its aim is to report on the vitality of teaching and research, theoretical and applied, in the vast field of industrial, scientific and technical heritage.

This prize aims to promote innovative academic work in the field of industrial heritage, through its methodology, its subject, its implementation and/or its final form, in progress or recently completed.

It benefits from the support of the Society for the Encouragement of National Industry.

Since she is eager to learn and contribute, Chayma is part of several professional organizations such as ULI, CREW and RICS. Her goal is to raise awareness around sustainability and climate change, but also to make an impact through practical and measurable solutions.

She is also a lecturer and a thesis supervisor at the ESSEC Business school where she teaches ESG and real estate related subjects.
